Why do you work at ELITS? A good friend of mine had joined ELITS a couple of years earlier. Around the same time - late 2011, that I needed a change, he reached out to tell me more about the company. After a short introduction, I was interested. Following my interview with the CEO (at that time) and founder, it was clear to me that ELITS was the company where I would make the next step in my career.
Coming to ELITS is the best thing that ever happened to me. Everyone I’ve met is so warm and welcoming. There are many things that make ELITS a great place to work, but the one that stands out in my mind is the people. I am passionate about the people I work with and what we do together at ELITS.
spent the past 6 years of my career at ELITS, and I couldn’t enjoy my work
more. The people here are some of the best I’ve worked with anywhere. The connections I have with my co-workers and managers make me feel at home. You feel like you really make a different here!
What do you work with at ELITS? I am Marketing Communications Manager, in charge of internal and external communication, brand management and PR.
Previous positions outside ELITS? I have worked with marketing and communications all my life, always aiming at learning new things. I've worked for ELITS since 2012. Before ELITS, I started as a freelancer. After that I continued to a software company, where I worked as a Graphic Designer and Digital Art Director at the marketing department. After that I worked at an advertising agency, working as Project Manager and Art Director. I value all my previous roles as they gave me a lot of experience and made me the person I am today.
What does a day at work look like for you? It's hard to describe a typical day, there are no typical days at a marketing department. The balance between internal and external communication often includes mobilizing many functions to get the right message across. Marketing strategies, Brochures, Intranet updates, marketing material, internal campaigns, and news that we want to communicate externally or internally are some examples of what I do.
What advice would you give to a potential colleague? ELITS encourages you to challenge old ways of doing things, as innovation comes with creativity. If you want responsibility, you will get it. Working in a MarCom department is hectic. You need to be flexible, curious, inquisitive and analytical. Be prepared to be exposed and to interact with everyone in the company. If you are looking for a quiet job that gives you the same movie every day, you are on the wrong ship!
